Dubai – May, 2016 – Temenos, (SIX : TEMN), the software specialist for banking and finance, announced earlier this month that it has won the Banker Middle East’s ‘Best Core Banking System’ award.
The award was presented to Temenos at a gala dinner May 12 in Dubai, attended by 350 of the most senior banking and finance representatives from the Middle East region.
The Banker Middle East Industry Awards, now in their 18th year, recognize outstanding achievement across the financial services industry, including financial technology, and are generally considered to be the most prestigious banking awards in the Middle East.
Temenos was voted the ‘Best Core Banking’ by bankers and industry peers, on account of the solution’s rich functionality and advanced technology, but also thanks to its sales momentum. Temenos’ core banking platform, used by 80+ financial institutions in the Middle East, benefits from the highest levels of R&D in the industry, almost twice the industry average. In addition, the Temenos platform was once again the best-selling solution in 2015, both in the Middle East and globally.
“For Temenos to win this highly acclaimed industry award, voted for by the readers of the Banker Middle East, is testimony to our record of delivering outstanding customer success. At Temenos, our business model is simple: we spend more on R&D than any of our competitors and channel that spending back into fully upgradable packaged software. This a model that enables our solution to stay ahead of market changes which in turn allows our customers to stay ahead of their peers.” said Jean- Paul Mergeai, Temenos Managing Director Middle East & Africa.
