GENEVA, Switzerland – November 6, 2018 – Temenos (SIX: TEMN), the banking software company, today announces that Arab Bank for Investment and Foreign Trade (Al Masraf), which signed for Temenos Transact Core Banking in 2017, has now licensed the Temenos Learning Community (TLC) Engine. TLC Engine is a banking-specific digital change management and training platform.

Abu Dhabi-based bank, Al Masraf offers a full range of corporate, Islamic and commercial banking services throughout the United Arab Emirates. The relationship between Temenos and Al Masraf is now further cemented with Al Masraf’s decision to roll out training and testing for its 400 employees across all departments with the TLC Engine, as part of the ongoing digital transformation project.

Utilizing TLC Engine’s end-to-end process tool, Al Masraf will ensure that any changes it makes to its T24 Core Banking operating procedures are always captured, documented and fully up to date. This in turn will allow Al Masraf to create bespoke testing and certification paths within TLC Engine’s training tool. By offering training that incorporates Al Masraf’s own processes and specific use of T24 Core Banking, Al Masraf will accelerate the knowledge and skill levels of all staff, from interns to senior management. This will result in Al Masraf seeing a decrease in time spent in user acceptance training, and an increase in employee engagement.

Al Masraf will also look to enhance overall risk and compliance monitoring through TLC Engine’s Digital Control, an additional module that provides an added layer of risk and compliance support. The module acts as a registry for the bank-specific controls that need to be put in place, showing severity levels, probability and mitigation plans.

Ahmed Alrefaei, Chief Operating Officer, Arab Bank for Investment and Foreign Trade (Al Masraf) commented:

“We are committed to technology and innovation, and it’s important that we empower our employees with the tools to deliver on that commitment. TLC Engine will allow us to train and elevate current employees’ expertise, effectively onboard employees who aren’t familiar with the system, and ensure that we are delivering consistent and compliant results every time. In this way, we can make sure that we fully capitalize on the front-to-back platform, Temenos Transact Core Banking, which we are implementing with Temenos, in support of our ambitious growth plans, as we continue to drive our bank forward.”

Dale Thomas, Director of the Temenos Learning Community said:

“We are delighted to continue to build a strong partnership with the team at Al Masraf and further support them in their digital transformation project. With over 3,000 customers around the world, we’ve found that the key to a project’s success is staff engagement, knowledge, and the ability to use the new system to its full potential. TLC Engine is specifically designed for financial institutions, to serve as a foundation for change management and training. TLC Engine will provide Al Masraf with a channel to educate staff on Temenos technology, and help them establish best practices within the system based on the Temenos Standard Operating Procedures, paving the way for a smooth transition as the bank implements Temenos Transact Core Banking.”

With TLC Engine, financial institutions can record, update and cascade their unique business processes, using the Temenos Standard Operating Procedures (TSOP) as a basis. TLC Engine then utilizes these processes to support the ongoing training of staff across the bank’s entire organization. TLC Engine also enables banks to train, test and certify their teams in Temenos software solutions, offering access to the official Temenos content and certification processes found across the Temenos Learning Community programs.
