GENEVA, Switzerland, October 16, 2019 – Temenos (SIX: TEMN), the banking software company, today announces it will seek the election of Dr. Homaira Akbari to its Board of Directors at the time of its AGM in May 2020, as a Non-Executive and Independent Director.

Based in Dallas, Dr. Akbari is currently the Founder and CEO of AKnowledge Partners, a global advisory firm providing high-impact consultative strategies to Fortune 1000 companies and private equity firms. Dr. Akbari brings deep financial services experience as a Director of the Board of Banco Santander. Dr. Akbari also brings extensive experience of the technology sector including cyber security and Artificial Intelligence. Previous roles she held include CEO for Skybitz, a leading US IoT and security solutions company, and Senior Director for Microsoft, leading the EMEA Enterprise specialist and partner sales organisation of 1,200 people. She currently serves on a number of private and public company board of directors including Banco Santander, S.A., Workfusion and Landstar System, Inc. Dr. Akbari holds a Doctorate in Experimental Particle Physics from Tufts University and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University.
