Temenos Issues CHF220m Bond
GENEVA, Switzerland, 13 November 2019 – Temenos AG (SIX: TEMN), the banking software company, today announces the issuance of a new CHF 220m bond.
Temenos issued a 6 year senior unsecured bond with a coupon of 1.50% that matures in November 2025. This latest bond builds on the success of the previous five bonds issued by Temenos over the last 6 years.
The bond attracted strong demand across a broad spectrum of investors, including private and retail banks, pension funds, asset managers and insurance companies.
The proceeds from the bond will be used for the repayment of debt and general corporate purposes. Credit Suisse, BZ Bank and Bank J. Safra Sarasin executed the transaction on behalf of Temenos. The bond will be listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange.
Takis Spiliopoulos, CFO of Temenos, said:
“This is the sixth bond Temenos has issued since 2013 and the level of investor demand reflects the strength of our cash flow generation and our balance sheet as well as the growth we have delivered. We have been able to raise debt at attractive levels, refinancing some of our existing debt linked to our recent acquisition of Kony and extending our overall maturity profile. With the strength of our cash generation profile, we aim to bring our leverage to below 2.5x net debt to EBITDA by year end 2019 and to be below 1.5x net debt to EBITDA by the end of 2020.”
