Temenos and Employees Come Together to Support Covid-19 Emergency Relief
Temenosians raise $100,000 to support global appeals and help distribute Covid-19 preventative kits in India
GENEVA, Switzerland – JANUARY 13, 2021 – Temenos (SIX: TEMN), the banking software company, today announced that it has donated $100,000 to help fund Covid-19 emergency relief. The amount raised by employees was matched 100% by Temenos with funds distributed to the International Red Cross Covid-19 Emergency Fund, supporting relief efforts in war-torn countries, and the India Prime Minister’s Relief Fund, PM Cares. In addition, Temenos employees also distributed Covid-19 preventive kits to government school students through Adopt-iT, Temenos’ Corporate Social Responsibility program in India.
Monica Rancati, Chief HR Officer, Temenos, commented:
“We are proud of how Temenosians have come together during the pandemic, to support those most at risk in the fight against Covid-19. As a company we are committed to supporting the local communities, where we operate, when affected by unexpected events or disasters as well as providing assistance to non-profit organizations and emergency relief agencies. The International Red Cross and PM Cares provide vital support and we are grateful to the hundreds of Temenosians who have contributed, by forgoing pay, or through our volunteer programs, to support these urgent causes.”
The International Red Cross’ Covid-19 Emergency Fund supports relief efforts in war-torn countries, where the impact of the virus is proving to be another threat to people already living in fragile situations. PM Cares, the India Prime Minister’s Relief Fund, is a dedicated national fund with the primary objective of dealing with emergency situations, such as that posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Adopt-iT is a volunteer program in India and part of Temenos’ broader Corporate Social Responsibility program of investing in communities and longstanding commitment to operating responsibly.
